UCAS Application Support

At St Albans Independent College, we have an excellent reputation for supporting students in securing places at high-ranking UK universities and gaining entry onto competitive degree courses. Our structured UCAS Workshops and ten-week UCAS Programme are designed to guide students through every stage of the university application process with confidence and clarity.

Ten-Week UCAS Programme (Years 12 & 13)

The UCAS Programme is an integral part of the A-Level curriculum for Year 12 and Year 13 students preparing to apply to university. Through a carefully planned series of workshops, students receive support with:
  • Choosing the right degree courses
  • Researching and shortlisting UK universities
  • Understanding entry requirements and deadlines
  • Writing and refining their UCAS Personal Statement
  • Guidance on student finance, funding, and accommodation
Our personalised approach ensures that each student submits a strong, competitive application tailored to their chosen subject and career ambitions.

Apprenticeships & Work Experience Support

In addition to university preparation, we provide guidance for students who may wish to: This ensures that every student receives support aligned with their individual goals, whether that pathway leads to university, employment, or vocational training. At St Albans Independent College, our UCAS Workshops are designed not only to maximise university success but to equip students with the research, writing, and interview skills needed for future academic and professional achievement.
